New Year | New Yotta
Now that the festive period has drawn to a close and 2016 is well under way, it is apparent that Nick’s excellent team speech at the annual Company Meeting has inspired us all. I find myself fascinated now, more than ever by the work and services that Yotta provide.
As I sat in the office on the first week back, I announced one of my New Year’s resolutions is to quiz my co-workers. My colleagues know me quite well now, and feared the worst! However, fortunately for them I wasn’t planning to test them unexpectedly about random trivia, but just wanted to find out more about how they fit into the Yotta circle.
As front of house general miracle worker, I unfortunately don’t get too involved in the inner workings of Yotta and therefore I’m not too informed on my colleagues job roles – I just get told to make the impossible happen at a moment’s notice (teehee). Now however, with this New Year I have decided to find out more about this unique company.
I moved from the south a couple of years ago to the area; the transition at times hasn’t always been stress-free but, with the support from my team mates it has been made much easier. What’s made it easier still is our location. Royal Leamington Spa is often described as ‘the best bits of London, all in a ten-minute walk’ and we are lucky enough to have our building right in the heart of this prestigious town centre. Being in the middle of Warwickshire I am able to take advantage of the surrounding areas, such as the historically significant Warwick and Kenilworth castles, the home of National Treasure Sir. William Shakespeare – Stratford-Upon-Avon and the shopping and travel (and clubbing) benefits of Birmingham.
Anna quoted in October’s blog “we have big plans for 2016 and our staff remain the backbone of our success”, a quote which I whole heartedly believe to be true. I have seen plenty of new faces come through the doors over the past couple of years and we expect to see many more in the future with Yotta’s graduate scheme playing a big part in our growth.
I have learnt a lot in my short time at Yotta, and with the prospect of my up and coming quizzes I’m looking forward to learning more.
